McLoud School District,
In light of the recent safety concerns in McLoud and surrounding schools districts, the school board along with public concern has compelled us to revisit safety options and upgrades at key locations throughout our district. A comprehensive safety assessment has been completed and many improvements are in order. Upgrades were carefully prioritized by giving consideration to high traffic areas and areas with excessive exposure.
The district has made safety a priority and has taken many steps toward solidifying safety protocols and practices. However, those things alone cannot meet the needs of increasing safety concerns. District administration is working with the school board to reintroduce a future bond issue that will meet higher standards of safety for students, staff, and anyone visiting our district.
As plans are drawn and decisions made, we hope to share that information with you and gain your support for the future safety of our students and staff.

"IF" your student has a verified called in absence due to being sick, or pre-approved with Admin to make-up a Final Exam due to extenuating circumstances from Dec 20 or 21 this applies to you. Jan 4 @ 8 a.m. is make up Final Exam day. Student must bring a charged Chromebook, check into the front office at 8 a.m., and stay until all exams are completed. If you did not show up to school Dec 20 or 21, and did not communicate, this make up day does not apply to you.
