hello
The heat of summer is in full swing, so please encourage your hoodie loving students to dress in layers! With outdoor recess daily, it's important that they be able to take off the outer layer to keep cool.

McLoud School District, In light of the recent safety concerns in McLoud and surrounding schools districts, the school board along with public concern has compelled us to revisit safety options and upgrades at key locations throughout our district. A comprehensive safety assessment has been completed and many improvements are in order. Upgrades were carefully prioritized by giving consideration to high traffic areas and areas with excessive exposure. The district has made safety a priority and has taken many steps toward solidifying safety protocols and practices. However, those things alone cannot meet the needs of increasing safety concerns. District administration is working with the school board to reintroduce a future bond issue that will meet higher standards of safety for students, staff, and anyone visiting our district. As plans are drawn and decisions made, we hope to share that information with you and gain your support for the future safety of our students and staff. Sincerely, Rhonda Hockenbury Superintendent

What an exciting time for our 6th graders as they prepare to transition to 7th grade at the JH! Check out the upcoming events to help calm the nerves of our students (and parents)! Our students will tour the JH during the day, but make plans to return in the evening to tour with your student and visit with all the club sponsors. AND... your student can receive the required immunization needed for 7th grade enrollment!
